The Pennfield High School varsity competitive cheer team traveled to Rockford High School for the MHSAA Division 3 Regional Competition on Wednesday night looking to finish in the top four teams and qualify for the MHSAA Competitive Cheer Finals Tournament. This marked the fourth consecutive year the Lady Panthers had earned a berth in the regional competition.
The varsity competitive cheer team earned a season high cumulative score of 720.86, finishing in third place and earning a trip to the MHSAA Finals on March 26th at the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University. The Lady Panthers scored 222.80 in round one and a 206.66 in round two for a sub-total of 429.46 heading into the third round. In round three they scored a season high 291.40 to stamp their ticket to the finals.
The varsity girls competitive cheer team will compete in the MHSAA Finals for the first time in school history on Friday, March 26th at 10:00am. Congratulations to Coach Tucker and the Lady Panthers!
