boys varsity wrestling · Varsity Wrestling Team Goes 1-2 at Durand Quad

The Pennfield High School varsity wrestling team traveled to Durand High School over the weekend for a non-conference quad match.  The Panthers defeated Mt. Morris High School 45-30 but fell to the host Railroaders 72-12 and to Sturgis High School 39-36.  Pennfield now stands 2-4 overall on the season.

Leading the way individually for the Green and White were senior, Cullen Reed and junior, Dawson Ransom who each went 3-0 in their individual matches.  Seth Clothier, Trenton Dollaway, Trent Garrison and Daniel Connert each posted  2-1 records on the day.

The varsity wrestling team will return to action on Wednesday, February 24th when they host a quad match with I-8 rivals Hastings and Lumen Christi and non-conference opponent South Haven High School.  Each school will wrestle three matches in a round robin type format.  The wrestling is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.
