boys varsity wrestling · Varsity Wrestling Team Competes in Western Quad

The Pennfield High School varsity wrestling team traveled to Western High School on Wednesday evening for a quad match with Western, Ypsilanti High School and Adrian High School.  With the new format for MHSAA wrestling events this year due to the pandemic, every event is essentially a four team event.  The Panthers ended the event 1-2 in on the night.

Pennfield wrestled Western High School in an I-8 match and were defeated by the score of 64-12.  They wrestled two other teams in non-conference dual matches, defeating Ypsilanti 51-15 and falling to Adrian 48-27.  Top individual performers for the Panthers were seniors, Seth Clothier who went 3-0 in his individual matches and Brenden Dollaway who finished the evening 2-1 in his matches.

The varsity wrestling team will return to the mat on Saturday, February 20th when they travel to Durand High School for a quad match with the host Railroaders, Mt. Morris High School and Sturgis High School.  The first matches are scheduled to begin at 10:00am.
