The Pennfield Schools winter sports season along with all other MHSAA schools, has been delayed through at least December 20th. The announcement came from the MHSAA yesterday afternoon after the statewide partial shutdown was extended by Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). The initial three week pause began in mid-November due to the increasing concern of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MHSAA Representative Council will be meeting later this week to look at scheduling options for the winter sports season of 2020-2021. One big unknown remains and that is if athletic activities will be allowed to resume on December 20th or if the delay may be extended again.
The Pennfield Schools athletic department will be monitoring any announcements regarding winter athletic activities moving forward and will post any updates on this website.
