Panthers News · Senior Spotlights – Varsity Girls’ Track & Field


The spring track & field season never got out of the starting block due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we still want to recognize our seniors in the class of 2020.  Below are individual spotlights for our senior girls track & field team members at Pennfield High School.

Kaitlyn Campbell is the daughter of Marty and Deb Campbell.  She was a participant on the varsity track team for three years.  Her favorite memory of her track experience was running in the 4 x 400 relay.  She said “it being the final race of the meet always brought an adrenaline rush knowing that everyone was watching”.  Her post high school plans are to attend Western Michigan University and study sports medicine.

Trajana DiVitto is the daughter of Raffaele and Paty DiVitto.  She was a four year varsity track participant.  Her favorite memory of her track experience was “medaling in the top 8 at the MHSAA Regional in the 4 x 800 with her teammates in 2018”.  Her post high school plans are to attend Michigan State University and study environmental science.

Emma O’Donnell is the daughter of Patrick and Belinda O’Donnell.  She was a varsity track participant for one season.  Her favorite memory was “when the entire team would cheer during warm-ups and getting each other pumped up.”  Her post high school plans include attending Kellogg Community College for general studies and continue her bowling career for the Bruins.

Presley Sedore is the daughter of Joe and Misty Sedore.  She was a participant on the varsity track team for four years.  Her favorite memory in track & field were “beating my personal records and the bus rides home from our meets”.  Her post high school plans include attending Grand Valley State University in the fall.

Ashley Taylor is the daughter of Bobbie Jo Taylor.  She was a three year varsity track participant.  Her favorite memory during her track & field days were “the coaches speeches”.   Her post high school plans include attending Lansing Community College to study social work.

Madison Zima is the daughter of Joe Zima and Lauren Crockett.  She was a participant on the varsity track team for four years.  Her favorite memories “were the bus rides after meets”.   Her post high school plans are to attend Glen Oaks Community College and continue her volleyball career.

Congratulations to our senior members of our varsity track & field program on their graduation from Pennfield High School and thank you for your contributions to the Panther athletic program.  We wish you great success going forward!
