Panthers News · COVID-19 Forces Cancellation of All Pennfield Schools Athletic Activities Through April 5th

The Pennfield Schools athletic department, in conjunction with the state mandated school closures beginning March 16th, have cancelled all athletic practices, events and activities beginning at 2:30pm on March 13th through April 5th.

With Governor Whitmer’s announcement last night that all schools will be closing from March 16th through April 5th, it has been determined by the Pennfield Schools administration that no athletic or extracurricular activities will be taking place during this time frame.  No practices, events, training sessions, workouts, open gyms, etc. will be held at any Pennfield Schools facility.  No off-site practices or workouts will be allowed during this time period either.  This three week period will be treated like the MHSAA dead period during the summer, where zero contact is allowed from coaches to student-athletes.

Because information regarding the corona virus has changed rapidly the past several days, we will continue to monitor this situation and adjust accordingly if needed.  The health and welfare of everyone involved is our top priority as we assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
