The Pennfield High School varsity boys’ and girls’ bowling teams traveled to Hastings yesterday afternoon for their first Interstate 8 match of the season against the host Saxons. Both Panther teams earned victories by the identical scores of 21-9.
The girls’ team had two outstanding individual performances turned in by seniors, Emma O’Donnell and Steffanie Woodman who bowled individual games of 211-236 and 226-235, respectively to lead the Lady Panthers. For the boys’ team, their performance was highlighted by a single game team total of 1032. They had four individuals bowl above 200, led by junior, Carson Dyer (246), sophomore, Jeff Stockwell (235), junior, Charles Weever (214) and senior, Deven Pierce (212).
The varsity bowling teams will return to the lanes on January 8th when they host Coldwater High School in another I-8 match-up at M-66 Lanes. The matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
