Panthers News · Varsity Boys’ Basketball Victorious in the Chuck Turner Holiday Classic

The Pennfield High School varsity boys’ basketball team defeated cross-town foe Battle Creek Central High School 65-48 in the 51st Annual Chuck Turner Holiday Classic at the Central Fieldhouse.  With the victory the Panthers improve to 3-1 overall on the season.

Pennfield held a slim 28-27 lead at the half but extended that lead to 48-35 after a strong third quarter.  They cruised to the final margin of victory led by junior, Ryne Petersen who poured in a career high 30 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.  Sophomore, Aiden Burns added 11 points and sophomore, Luke Davis contributed 9 points and ten steals on the night.

The Panthers will return to action on Tuesday, January 7th when they host Charlotte High School in a non-conference contest.  Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
