The Pennfield High School winter athletic registration period will begin on November 6th-7th in the athletic office at the high school. The athletic office will be accepting paperwork (current athletic physicals, concussion forms, and the training rules and understanding forms) on Wednesday, November 6th from 8:00am-3:30pm and Thursday, November 7th from 8:00am-5:00pm. All prospective winter sports participants need to turn in their paperwork items and receive a winter sports registration card prior to any participation. Any student-athlete who does not have a winter sports registration card from the athletic office will not be allowed to participate in any practice or tryout until one is completed.
The winter sports season begins on November 11th with girls’ basketball and competitive cheer team tryouts. The girls basketball tryouts will take place at the high school gymnasium on November 11-13th from 3:00-5:00pm. The competitive cheer team tryouts will take place on November 11-13th at the Dunlap Elementary School gymnasium. The times on November 11th and 13th are 4:30-6:30pm. On November 12th it will be from 7:00-9:00pm.
On November 18th tryouts will begin for boys’ basketball, boys and girls bowling and wrestling. The boys’ basketball tryouts will be held on November 18-20th from 5:00-7:00pm for the freshman and junior varsity teams and 7:00-9:00pm for the varsity team. All boys basketball tryouts will be held in the high school gymnasium.
The boys and girls bowling tryouts are scheduled on November 18-19th from 3:00-5:00pm at M-66 Bowl. The wrestling team will begin practice on Monday, November 18th in the wrestling room at Pennfield High School at a time to be determined.
Any Pennfield High School male student who is interested in participating in boys’ swim this winter with the co-op team at Battle Creek Central should contact Coach Latchaw in the guidance office for more details. Practices are scheduled to begin on November 25th at Battle Creek Central High School at a time to be determined.
