Panthers News · Varsity Baseball Opens the Season With a Sweep


The Pennfield High School varsity baseball team traveled to Maple Valley High School to open the 2019 season and swept the host Lions in a non-league doubleheader.  The Panthers won game one by the score of 20-5 and won the nightcap 7-0.

In the first game, sophomores Cameron Reichel, Seth Clothier and Cody Hultink led the way.  Cameron Reichel went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBI.  Seth Clothier went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBI.  Cody Hultink was the starting pitcher and earned the win and also went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBI.

In game two, Cameron Reichel started on the mound and earned the victory.  Senior, Adam Eyre led the offense with a double and two runs batted in.

The varsity baseball team is scheduled to return to action on April 9th when they host St. Philip High School in a non-conference doubleheader.  The first game is set for a 4:00pm start.
