The Pennfield High School varsity boys’ and girls’ bowling teams traveled to Airport Lanes yesterday afternoon and each defeated the host Parma Western Panthers in their first official Interstate 8 Athletic Conference dual match of the season. The boys won by the score of 27-3 and the girls triumphed by the score of 28-2. The varsity boys’ bowling team improved to 4-0 in dual matches on the year, while the varsity girls’ team improved to 3-0.
Leading the way for the boys’ team were sophomore, Carson Dyer who bowled games of 233-222 and senior, James Ruoff had individual games of 211-227. Senior, Jacob O’Donnell added a high game of 195. For the Lady Panthers, they were led by senior, Haley Hooper who bowled individual games of 194-178. Senior, Kelsey Kipp added a high game of 171.
The varsity bowling teams will return to action on Wednesday, January 9th when they host I-8 rival Northwest High School at M-66 Bowl. The matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
