Panthers News · Varsity Boys’ Basketball Falls at Western


The Pennfield High School varsity boys’ basketball team traveled to I-8 rival Western High School last Friday night and were defeated by the score of 72-46.  Pennfield fell behind early trailing 21-10 after one quarter and 35-27 at the half.  They tried to play catch up in the second half but to no avail.  The Panthers overall record falls to 1-2 and they are now 1-1 in the Interstate 8.

Pennfield was led in scoring by senior, Keagan Burns with 14 points.  Sophomore, Ryne Petersen added 13 points to go along with 5 assists.  Sophomore, Derek Sackitt led the Panthers with 6 rebounds.

The varsity boys’ basketball team will return to action on Tuesday, December 18th when they play host to non-conference foe Homer High School.  Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
