Panthers News · Varsity Boys’ Basketball Drops Opener to Olivet


The Pennfield High School varsity boys’ basketball team opened the 2018-19 campaign at home against non-conference rival Olivet High School.  The Panthers fell to the Eagles by the final score of 75-65.

It was a close contest throughout.  Pennfield led 13-9 after one quarter and 29-27 at halftime.  The Panthers trailed after three quarters 49-46.  The Panthers were led by sophomore, Ryne Petersen with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Senior, Keagan Burns added 18 points and 7 rebounds.  Senior, Ryan Vought and sophomore, Gavin Liggett contributed 11 and 10 points respectively.

The varsity basketball team will be back in action on Friday, December 7th when they host I-8 opponent Lumen Christi High School.  Game time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
