The Panthers winning streak reached six with a 62-52 road Interstate 8 win at Jackson Lumen Christi on Friday night. The Panthers started sluggish in the 1st quarter finishing with a 16-15 deficit after one quarter against the Titans. The sluggish ways continued into the 2nd quarter, but the Panthers were able to take a 2 point advantage heading into halftime. The Panthers finally were able to finally gain some separation with the Titans in the 3rd quarter with a 23-15 advantage to take a 10 point lead into the 4th quarter. In the 4th the Panthers were able to maintain their comfortable lead throughout to finish off with their victory. The Panthers were led by Steffen Kinne’s 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists. Ron Jamierson chipped in 11 points and 7 assists and Grant Petersen added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Fran Jamierson added 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Panthers are now 11-7 overall and finish in a third place tie in the Interstate 8 with an 8-6 record. The Panthers are back in action at home on Tuesday in a non-conference battle with old KVA foe Parchment.
