Varsity Girls Basketball Defeats Coldwater

The Pennfield High School varsity girl’s basketball team went on the road Tuesday night looking to avenge an earlier loss to Coldwater High School.  The Lady Panthers dug themselves a big first half deficit trailing by as many as 13 points, before rallying to beat the Cardinals 39-35.  With this victory Pennfield improves to 11-6 overall on the season and 7-4 in the Interstate 8.

The Lady Panthers were led by Alicia Lake who scored 12 points and pulled down 13 rebounds on the evening.  Claire LeRoux chipped in with 10 points and 4 rebounds. Naomi Davis and Rachel Swartz contributed 8 points and 7 points respectively.

The varsity girls will be back in action on Friday, February 17th when they travel to I-8 rival Hastings High School.  Game time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
