Varsity Girl’s Basketball Falls to Coldwater 67-56

The varsity girl’s basketball team hosted I-8 foe Coldwater High School on Tuesday night and were defeated by the Cardinals 67-56.  Pennfield trailed 20-18 after the first quarter and 40-33 at the half.  With the loss the Lady Panthers fall to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Interstate 8.

Pennfield was led in scoring by juniors Naomi Davis and Melanie McIntyre who each had 11 points.  They were followed by sophomore Alicia Lake who scored 10 points.  Juniors Arabia Bacon and Claire LeRoux contributed 9 points and 8 points respectively.

The Lady Panthers will be back in action on Friday, January 13th when they host I-8 newcomer Hastings for a 6:00pm contest.
