The varsity girls’ bowling team won the tournament title at the Annual Bakers Tournament held at M-66 Bowl yesterday. This tournament field featured a very strong field with representation from 22 different schools.
The Lady Panthers earned the number one seed in the position round which consisted of 12 total games. In match play they defeated Jonesville in the first round 2-0, then Portland in the second round 2-0. In the finals they faced off against the defending Division III state champions of Alma High School. Pennfield prevailed in three games to capture the tournament championship.
The girls bowling team will be back in action on Tuesday, January 10th when they travel to Western for another Interstate 8 match up. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
