Varsity Wrestling Falls to Western in I-8 Action

The Pennfield High School varsity wrestling team hosted Parma Western last night in an Interstate 8 dual match and were defeated by the score of 54-12.  This match was a rescheduled event from an earlier postponement due to weather.  The loss drops the varsity wrestling team to 0-2 in the I-8.

Leading the way last night for the Panthers was senior, Dillon Striplin who pinned his opponent at 160 pounds.  Also earning decision victories for Pennfield were juniors Ashton Leenhouts and Nolen Bornamann at 171 pounds and 112 pounds respectively.

The varsity wrestling team will be back in action on Saturday, January 7th when they compete at the Bangor Invitational at Bangor High School.  Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 10:00am.
