Varsity Girls Basketball Defeats Battle Creek Central 77-35

The Pennfield High School varsity girls basketball team got back in the win column last night with a 77-35 home victory over Battle Creek Central High School.  With this victory the varsity improves their overall record to 4-1 on the season.

The Lady Panthers used a quick start to set the tone for the victory leading 53-11 at the half and cruising to the win.  Claire LeRoux led the scoring for Pennfield with 17 points. She was followed by three others in double figures including Naomi Davis with 12 and Alicia Lake and Rachel Swartz each contributed 11 points.

The varsity girls will be back in action after the holiday break when they host I-8 rival Harper Creek on Friday, January 6th.  Game time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
