Varsity Girls Basketball Team Falls to Marshall 63-20

The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Marshall on Friday night to battle the defending I-8 and Class B state champion Red Hawks.  The Lady Panthers fell behind early in the opening quarter and were never able to get on track and fell to Marshall 63-20.

Pennfield were led by Naomi Davis’ 6 points and Alicia Lake’s 13 rebounds.  This was the girls first loss of the season and their record currently stands at 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the I-8.

They will be back in action on Monday, December 19th when they host city rival Battle Creek Central in a girls’ basketball triple header beginning with the freshmen contest at 4:00pm.  The JV game is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm and the varsity at approximately 7:00pm.
