The varsity boys and girls bowling teams traveled to Bay City on December 17th to participate in the Bangor John Glenn Invitational. This tournament annually attracts some of the states top teams and is one of the more competitive regular season events on the schedule.
The boys varsity team earned the number one seed going into the match play part of the tournament but were defeated in the second round. The Panthers were led by James Ruoff who earned all-tournament recognition for his performance.
The girls varsity team were the number three seed going into match play and won their first two matches of the match play format before finishing overall in fourth place for the tournament.
The bowling teams will be back in action after the holiday break when they travel to Comstock High School on January 4, 2017. The matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
